Competitive analysis Cred-Ex contacted Media Infocus Studios of Watertown, Connecticut because they needed some insight in marketing their new service...a financial solution. After researching the financial industry, we noticed how incredibly busy most of the websites out there really are. Trying to be "all things to all people" is not always a good idea, and it often results in your users either wandering aimlessly or hitting the back button and visiting a competitors website.
The Idea Our idea was to build a simple, retail, "end-user" public site that had a clear, concise sales pitch. Since Cred-Ex will be a highly visible brand in the credit sector, we came up with the idea of producing a total of four "mini-sites" for each of the four major business sectors. When someone in the travel industry, merchant services or an online retailer contacts Cred-Ex about services, a Cred-Ex salesperson will then direct them to one of the non-public websites. Each of these four websites (the 4th being consumer) have marketing messages that are specifically targeted towards each industry.
